[Poem♥3] Crushed

Have you lost your beauty
or have I lost my sight?
For when I see you,
I don't see you as my fairy tale knight,
no, not anymore,
but as an average person,
nothing special.

The light, the spark,
isn't happening this time.
It might occur the next time we meet,
but I'm not going to take that risk.

I'm so confused,
my heart's a mess,
one minute I was so in love with you
but the next, I'm not.

Why is this happening?
It might be because I moved on.
Have I? Really?
Even I don't know.

Please...
hold my hand,
it's cold,
lonely,
and I'm even dying a little inside.

Please...
mend my broken heart,
with love,
not hatred,
because I've been hated enough already.

I cry,
my eyes are filled with tears
as I retell my thoughts
and feelings,
hoping that they will be revealed to you.

I'm quiet
when you ignore me,
as if it never happened
although it hurts so much.

Why
don't you notice my actions?
Am I that invisible?

I know you're not
because I see you,
everywhere.

In my dreams,
I hear myself
calling out to you
but never getting an answer.
And it turns into a nightmare.

I can't sleep,
there's no more reason
for me to live
anymore.

When you say "hi',
oh how it means so much to me,
it makes me forget of all the bad things
and regrets
I ever had,
even if it is only for a second,
for a moment of happiness,
no matter how short or long,
is better than sorrow.

And it motivates me again.

When your hand holds onto mine,
the sensation,
the feeling, of it
is so warming
and welcoming.

I wonder,
are you aware
that I'm right here,
in front of you,
beside you,
feeling nervous and hesitant
and not knowing what to do.

And now,
I ask,
Do you have the same impression as I do?
When you see someone special,
does your heart
beat just a little faster?

I like you,
I love you,
I miss you.
These are words you can say
to anyone, anytime
but how do I know
it's the truth?
How do I know
you really mean it?

Words are meaningless
when you don't put your heart into it
and are forced to,
because you're expected to say them.

how can you go on,
knowing that someone
will be hurt later on
when you tell them
the real truth?

I hate you,
for everything
you made me do,
made me feel,
and made me love,
and I regret all of it.

I would love to have a relationship,
but when I think,
is it really worth it
to have a possibility
of getting hurt at the end?

Watching you
from behind
is probably the best
because I can't afford
to feel awkward,
every time I see you
if we break up.

I really don't want
to have to hate you,
so let's just be friends
Please.
